A little about me...

I’m Lauren Clarke — a professional nanny with over 11 years of experience, a suitcase always half-packed, and a genuine love for helping children thrive wherever in the world they may be.

I’m a confident, caring and highly qualified nanny who has worked with children of all ages, from tiny newborns to independent teens. In recent years, I’ve specialised in bespoke childcare for families who love to travel, offering calm, reliable and flexible support whether you’re heading off on holiday, planning a ski trip, or attending a special event.

My career has taken me down many exciting paths within childcare. I’ve worked as a live-in and live-out private nanny, after-school and holiday nanny, ski nanny, special-needs nanny, special-needs teaching assistant, nursery assistant, private tutor, holiday camp leader, children’s holiday rep, and provided ad-hoc childcare across the UK and France. One of my highlights was completing a four-month ski season in the French Alps, working as a holiday ski nanny — combining my love of the mountains with high-quality childcare for families on the slopes.

I’m deeply passionate about nannying — so much so that I also train aspiring nannies on a five-day residential course several times a year, sharing everything I’ve learned and helping others build a career they love. Alongside this, I work closely with partner agencies and like-minded childcare business owners, and I’ve provided childcare at weddings, festivals and large-scale events, both in the UK and abroad.

Education has always played a big role in my work. After teaching in UK at a few prep schools, I completed my Level 5 TEFL qualification and spent several months volunteering as an English teacher at a school in Thailand. This experience not only broadened my teaching skills but also deepened my cultural awareness and adaptability — something I bring into every family I work with.

I have extensive experience supporting children with special educational needs, and I pride myself on creating a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment where every child feels understood, supported and encouraged to grow.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me discovering new restaurants, experimenting in the kitchen, heading to the theatre or enjoying live music. I’m a proud bookworm with a particular interest in psychology, and I love keeping active through swimming and yoga. My second great passion after working with children is travel. I love meeting new people, exploring new places and embracing new experiences.

I offer flexible, professional and fully bespoke childcare services, anytime and anywhere, tailored to the unique and specific needs of each family. My particular areas of expertise are holiday nannying, ski nannying, and bespoke travel childcare — providing parents with peace of mind, and children with a fun, enriching and memorable experience.
